JOB OVERVIEW:
The Benefits Manager is a key member of the Human Resources team and is responsible for the overall management, design, communication, compliance and administration of employee benefits and compensation programs for National Beverage and its subsidiaries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with senior leadership to determine long-term strategy for benefits and continuously evaluate all benefits plans to ensure they are cost effective, competitive, and meet the needs of both the company and employees.
- Analyze and project costs for all benefit programs. Use analysis in determining recommendations for changes to benefit plans and design.
- Ensure that all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, life, disability, 401(k), etc., are managed appropriately and that vendors are held accountable to expectations.
- Determine appropriate communication strategy to educate employees on benefit programs and changes.
- Ensure that leave programs (FMLA and ADA) are managed in compliance with state and federal laws
- Oversee and improve employee Wellness Program.
- Recommend and manage annual salary increase and bonus process, including budgets, by collecting market data (general, industry specific, geographic) and model budget proposals. Provide guidelines for linking salary increases to performance levels.
- Design, develop and implement corporate compensation programs, policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources or similar field.
- 5+ years of compensation, benefits, HRIS experience required.
- Demonstrated experience solving complex compensation issues through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills including advanced spreadsheet capabilities in Excel.
- Leadership and teamwork skills. The ability to both manage and assist with compensation related activities.
- Experience developing & delivering presentations including executive summaries to various audiences including senior management team and/or business leaders.
- Strong working knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems(ADP Workforce now) and Microsoft products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, employees, and various plan participants.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Field positions will be exposed to various unfamiliar conditions where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn and which may include, but are not limited to: manufacturing and warehouse plants, and other venues as directed by supervisor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but increases significantly in warehouse and manufacturing plants.
